Next time someone says gays threaten the sanctity of marriage, show them this straight couple

We’ve all heard the same tired old arguments about same-sex marriage over the years.

One of the most basic – and most exhausting – of these ideas is the one that suggests same-sex marriage will ruin the sanctity of marriage. Well, that would rely on marriage ever having sanctity to begin with.

But straight people don’t need to worry about gay couples ruining the sanctity of marriage – this straight couple has done it all on their own.

The wedding ceremony was recorded and shared on TikTok, but one eagle-eyed Twitter user saw the video’s viral potential and shared it on Twitter.

Since she shared the video on 18 October, it has been viewed more than 3.5 million times and been liked almost 200,000 times.

The couple are major fans of Bud Light, the marriage video suggests.

The bizarre “ceremony” – which may or may not be real – seems to have taken place in some kind of a tent.

The video shows a woman walking up the aisle with a veil and bouquet made of Bud Light cans. She also walks up an “aisle” made of flattened, empty Bud Light boxes.

I literally cannot tell if this is a wedding or a Trump rally.

To say people were amused would be an understatement.

One Twitter user noted that there wouldn’t be many tears shed at this wedding.

Other people were asking some of the hard questions.

Another pointed out that the ceremony bears a striking resemblance to another kind of event.

The couple has become a viral sensation over the recording.

Since the video was first shared on TikTok, the couple has become a viral sensation across the world. It was first discovered by Reddit users before it was picked up by a wedding-themed Facebook page, the Daily Mail reports.

Reddit users had a lot to say about the bizarre Bud Light themed wedding ceremony.

One commented: “You know what, they are enjoying themselves and I have respect for that!

Another said: “I think it’s considered ‘trashy,’ because they quite literally used trash (the empties beer cans and boxes) as part of their wedding [sic]. It’s a bit of recycling (or maybe reusing?), but it’s still technically using trash.”

Someone else simply commented: “I wonder who caught the Bud-quet?”
